PD article: Tired of defending love for Cleveland

Well, no one will probably read this post, since it's been soooo long since I posted, but here it is. It seems likely to be my last, unless I get a second wind and decide to come back.

I guess I need time for other stuff, not least going out and having fun here in Cleveland, and I don't really have time to concern myself with who else knows how much fun they could be having here. This article seemed like a good way to wrap up.
Tired of defending love for Cleveland

I hope some of the postings will still be useful for people looking for a new place to eat, etc. I use it to remind myself of places I want to go back to.

Thanks loads to Christine for being my #1 reader, or, at least, commenter, and for all her information and advice and thoughts about Cleveland.

Mrs. H

I for one hope that this is not your last post. It is one thing to have somebody who has lived in Cleveland their whole life brag about the how great the city is; it is a completely different thing to have somebody, such as you, to do it.
I have enjoyed reading your posts and look forwrd to reading about your future discoveries in the city.
Have you been to lakeview Cemetery yet?

Hey there, I read your blog all the time and commented a couple times too. I'm a re-transplant after being in Chicago 8 years and I'm probably a semi-neighbor of you from the sounds of it! Please keep writing. Feel free to contact me at any time too... would love hangout/dining buddy... I'm a seeeerious foodie!!! There is greatness lurking in Cleveland and I too have been trampled by those who are too busy being downtrodden to see it. Take heart.

Hi, I just stumbled across your blog while searching for news about Shaker Square. I just moved to the neighborhood in January and I'm sorry I didn't stumble across the blog while you were still updating it! I read a few of your entries and I have to say it's great to see someone who's excited about being in Cleveland! We need more people like you in our community. I hope you're still in love with Cleveland! :)

Hey Mrs. H -- Count me in as another fan of this blog, and I wish I had discovered it earlier. I only found it today by chance via Christine's site. I hope you do leave the archives here though, because I plan on linking to this page from my own blog. So many people (especially us younger folks) thing there's "nothing to do" in Cleveland, and it's great to hear the perspective of someone who isn't a native Cleveburger.

I haven't read all your posts, but have you ever been to Danny Boy's in Lakewood? Excellent small pizza parlor, with many varieties of specialty pizzas. I'd also recommend the ribs and wings at The Station in Berea.

Anyway, I hope you'll be inspired to continue sharing your Cleveland area discoveries.

I certainly hope that you come back and post someday. It seems that you have gone almost everywhere we have gone, except before we've gone there. So cool!

Like Christine, I just came back from a visit to Cleveland and am looking at it through different eyes. I wonder what people new to the city see here and how we could better connect them up with the essence of the city (whatever that is). I just discovered your blog and hope you'll keep going. As you wrote back at the beginning, when you missed a restaurant, it's would be too bad that Cleveland cannot keep something like this blog going. Tell us more, not just about this restaurant or that event, but what you see us building around to better explain ourselves to others.
